Welcome to INES
The Interdisciplinary Network of European Social Democracy (INES) was set up in 2009 with the aim to bring together researchers who share an interest in European Social Democracy. INES is an independent, non-for profit forum for the exchange of ideas and concepts. INES has three aims:
» To provide a network for postgraduate students and young academics whose research is related to European Social Democracy. While an increasing amount of research is done on European Social Democracy, a forum for intellectual exchange is still lacking, where postgraduate students and young academics can bring together their knowledge and experience and create synergies. INES provides this platform for online discussions, conferences, workshops, and publications.
» To establish a link between academic networks, think tanks and practitioners related to European Social Democracy. While INES is an independent forum, exchange with other academic networks, thinks tanks and practitioners certainly contributes to the quality and relevance of our research.
» To foster interdisciplinary work. We believe that the best discussions take place when academics from different academic backgrounds get together and approach European Social Democracy from different angles. We therefore welcome contributions from historians, political scientists, economists, sociologists and other disciplines.
